Biography
Marsha Rich Rosner is the Charles B. Huggins Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. She was founder and first Chair of the graduate program in Cancer Biology as well as past Chair of the Ben May Department for Cancer Research. Dr. Rosner is a Fellow of the Institute for Molecular Engineering and a member of the graduate Committees on Cancer Biology; Development, Regeneration and Stem Cell Biology; and Genetics, Genomics and Systems Biology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Rosner has received several honors including the University of Chicago Quantrell Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and was named a Notable Woman in Healthcare by Crain’s Chicago Business. The current focus of the Rosner laboratory is to identify and characterize key regulators of tumor growth and metastasis, particularly in triple-negative breast cancer, that could lead to novel therapeutic strategies.
