Terrisha Buckley is a biologist by training and a freelance scientific/medical writer. She is currently the DLAR Investigator trainer for the University of Kentucky Division of Laboratory Animal Resources. In this role, she is the primary trainer for laboratory personnel in techniques related to research animals, specifically rodents. She conducts both online orientation and husbandry trainings as well as in-person technical trainings such as basic handling, injections, oral gavage, aseptic surgical techniques, and post operative care. She has been published in trade journals like Today in Veterinary Medicine, the Fountain Report, and the Diatribe Foundation.
