Biography
Sarah Burris earned her Ph.D. from Saint Louis University in 2005 and held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Sao Paulo and the University of Tennessee. With over a decade of research in cardiovascular disease, she now serves as the Global Leader of Scientific Affairs and Applications at FUJIFILM VisualSonics. In this role, she shapes the company’s scientific vision and innovation strategy, leading cross-functional teams and managing $8 million in grants across projects in imaging for cancer, neurosurgery, and non-destructive testing. Sarah is also an adjunct faculty member at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, teaching pharmacology.
