Dr. Zheng Wei leads the Payload-Linker team at Asymchem CMMD, overseeing route optimization, tech transfer, process development, process characterization, non-GMP, and GMP manufacturing for pre-IND, IND, and NDA projects. With his help, the team has successfully supported 70+ IND projects and 10+ NDA projects, building a connection with 100+ global clients. Meanwhile, the team has gained enriched GMP manufacturing experiences in novel linkers with mono, dual, and multiple payloads, the utmost MW for delivered linker (GMP grade) is 6,000+. His team is also knowledgeable in process development for controlling the hydrolytic, oxidized, and stability impurities, PEG analogues, purification for peptide linker with PEG/glucose/glucuronide moieties.

Additionally, his team has not only worked on IND/NDA projects with regular high potency (HP) payloads (MMAE, EXT, Campothecin, Eribulin and etc.), but also provided good support for non-HP payloads with sophisticated structures, such as E3 ligands and RAS related API loadings. The record for an IND filling project made by his team is 20+ steps from scratch. In 2025, the team supported a commercial ADC launch to market.
