Anna St. Lorenz holds a B.A. in Biology from Smith College, an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Oregon State University. Her dissertation focused on the intersection of nanotechnology and photoacoustic imaging, particularly the development of nanoparticle-based contrast agents for advanced molecular and functional imaging. For the past two years, she has worked with VisualSonics, applying her expertise in photoacoustic and high-frequency ultrasound imaging to support cutting-edge preclinical research across oncology, cardiovascular biology, and drug development.
