Biography

Kristyna Neffeova is the Head of the Cardiovascular Unit at The Czech Center for Phenogenomics in Vestec, Czech Republic. This unit provides advanced ultrasound-based imaging and physiological monitoring for small-animal research, offering comprehensive services for mouse and rat models. Originally focused on cardiovascular assessment, they have expanded into oncology, neurology, metabolism, embryology, and general organ imaging. This unit is using the ultra-high to low-frequency Vevo F2 LAZR-X ultrasound to deliver high-resolution anatomical, functional and molecular photoacoustic imaging together with precise image-guided interventions.

Kristyna has a strong background in physiology and cardiology, with experience in phenotyping screening. She is currently doing her PhD at the Institute of Anatomy, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, where her research focuses on congenital heart diseases and cardiac regeneration.
