Biography
Dr. Martin Köhler is a Scientist at the Rolf Luft Research Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology within the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery at Karolinska Institutet. He holds a PhD in Medical Cell Biology from Karolinska Institutet and provides technical expertise in the development and implementation of advanced intravital microscopy methods.
Dr. Köhler has played a key role in establishing and supporting multiple in vivo imaging platforms, including the anterior chamber of the eye model and cranial window–based approaches for pancreatic islet transplantation. He has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents at international scientific conferences. His current work focuses on 3D imaging strategies and advanced near-infrared (NIR/SWIR) microscopy for functional analysis of dura mater–engrafted pancreatic islets.
