Sandrina Nóbrega Pereira earned her PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Coimbra in 2009. She then completed extensive postdoctoral training in cancer metabolism, aging, and stem cell biology at CNIO (Madrid, Spain) and GIMM (Lisbon, Portugal). In 2021, she joined the University of Aveiro, where her lab investigates how metabolism influences cell state transitions in cancer, regenerative medicine, and aging. Using advanced cell biology techniques and preclinical models, her research aims to develop improved therapeutic strategies.
